Cindy & Michael- married!

Handmade paper flowers, bouquets full of them. Origami cranes.. thousands of them. Details galore! Cindy and Michael put so much love, hard work and attention to detail into all of the elements of their wedding day. And it showed. From the hand chosen quotes of love that adorned their reception room.. to the way in which Michael was always one step ahead of the catering staff when it came to attending to the needs of his guests. These two were celebrating a day they had dreamt of and they were doing so with family. A term that for them was not merely defined by your last name. If you were among those in attendance that day, you were family. It was with childish excitement and gleeful smiles that Cindy and Michael joined two families and lives TOGETHER.
Cindy and Michael.. it was a treat to see your planning and hard work all come to a perfect, breathtaking conclusion. I could not be any happier for the two of you! Congratulations on a day of pure perfection.. may your lives together be filled with thousands of beautiful details that make the journey all the more worthwhile!

Much love! Jennifer

Favorite! Love this image of Cindy

Is this bouquet not exquisite? Michael hand rolled all of these flowers from the pages of an old novel.

Michael you clean up pretty well yourself... ;)

It was such a cold day but these too were troopers

Pure happiness! That's what I see whenever Cindy smiles...

Jamie Sue & Jef - Married!

The sound of music filled the air as the many musicians ran through one final rehearsal. The soft fluttering of the flute and french horn danced through the air as if welcoming each guest as they arrived. With a similar bounce in her step Jamie Sue entered the church with her bridesmaids in tow. On the tips of her toes she pranced down the staircase, smiling and laughing all the way. You see Jamie Sue and Jeff have a relationship that comes with it's own soundtrack. They met thanks to music, their first date involved a concert and they incorporated so many perfectly tuned musical details into their wedding that I completely loose count of them all. Really shouldn't we all live our lives as if dancing to our own personal ipod soundtracks? Jamie Sue and Jef... I'm so delighted I could be a part of your wedding day. It was nothing short of spectacular with a sprinkling of Halloween craziness thrown in on top. Next Steven Kellogg concert I expect to see you both down front dancing and singing at the tops of your lungs.. until then.

Much love always! Jennifer

Jamie Sue is a flute player herself.. so this ring shot seemed fitting.

Ahhh.. Jamie Sue you are gorgeous! Favorite

Check out the full 'orchestra Jamie Sue & Jef assembled!

This random ivy covered wall was such a find... Favorite

Incredible details.. don't you just love the gold vines?

We snuck back outside among the Freak Fest party goers for a few more shots at the Capital.

Favorite! You two are so adorable together

What was the most memorable part of your day?

The music from the ceremony, the moment we were announced as husband and wife, and the reception – it was a blast!

What is your funniest memory from your wedding day?

The costumes – it was close to Halloween, so there were a lot of fake beards, a fox mask, crazy hats, and people coming to our reception in full costume from other parties going on at the hotel. Also, there was a moment during pictures where the groomsmen were jumping up and down (to stay warm) on a mattress on the side of the road – but you couldn't see the mattress at first, so it looked they were just jumping really high in the air!

Any advice you’d share for future couples getting married?

1.      Remember that your wedding day is just the beginning of your marriage J It’s just one day, so don’t sweat the small stuff – at the end of the day, you will be married to the love of your life, and that is the most important thing that day.
2.      Take a few moments during the ceremony and reception to just freeze those moments in your mind, otherwise it will just be a blur.
3.      Have fun! Just enjoy the day – make sure to have someone who is in charge of anything that goes wrong, and they shouldn't consult you unless absolutely necessary (this person should also be in charge of the bride’s cell phone!) J

Would you change anything about your day if you could?

Everything went amazingly – we wouldn't have minded if the weather was a little warmer but at least it was sunny! J

What songs did you use for your:

First Dance – "Lucky" by Jason Mraz
Grand March – "Beautiful Day" by U2

Where did you go for your honeymoon?

We spent two weeks in Costa Rica! It was amazing, warm, and beautiful!

How did you two meet?

We met doing a Broadway-themed musical performance for a big conference at work – there was an opening for another flute player, and he was directing the band for the show. Otherwise we probably wouldn't have met – we worked in complete opposite areas of the company, but our love of music brought us together!

How long have you been dating?

At the time we got married, we had just had our three-year anniversary!

5 words to describe your bride:

Gorgeous, pitch perfect, genuinely sweet.

5 words to describe your groom:

Strong, loving, dependable, caring, and handsome! J

Who were your vendors?

Cake Baker Cupcakes a Go Go (worked with Wade)
DJ or BandCelebrations (worked with John Sherman)
Reception SiteThe Madison Concourse Hotel

Any great vendor experiences to share?

The cupcakes were AMAZING as well as the terrace chair-shaped cake (so cool!) that we used for cutting the cake! Also, Celebrations is the best DJ company around – John made the whole evening run smoothly and had the dance floor full the entire time! The Concourse handled all the details and made the reception so easy to plan – they were FANTASTIC! And of course our photographer took the most AMAZING pictures and captured all the wonderful moments from that day that we will cherish forever!

Jennifer & Pravin- Married!

Often times when I photograph a wedding I find myself seated at a table amongst the bride and grooms friends & family. I've met some wonderful people this way.. from all different walks of life. Inevitably during dinner someone will ask "what's the craziest wedding you've ever photographed?" or "what was your favorite wedding you've ever photographed?" From today on I know with certainty how I will answer that second question.. Jennifer & Pravin's wedding.
Now don't get me wrong.. I'm not one to play favorites, really I'm not. I love the variety I see at weddings.. how each couple incorporates their own personalities into the details of their day. It's like walking through the pages of a bridal magazine each and every time. But when you put together two of the sweetest, funniest people I've ever met, beautiful details, a carousel ride, goats, giraffes and donuts.. it's really hard to compete. At this point you're probably asking yourself.. did I read that write? Goats? Yes, you read it right. Jennifer & Pravin had their wedding reception at the Henry Vilas Zoo and it was nothing short of spectacular. I honestly lost count of how many wedding guests I heard comment in passing conversation "this is the BEST wedding ever!". With a cocktail hour that allowed their guests to wander the zoo seeing animals up close and personal or riding the carousel and train.. there was something to please everyone in attendance.
I had a seriously hard time narrowing this post down to a reasonable number of images.. cause I just wanted to share all of the amazingness with you. Jennifer & Pravin... what can I say? I ADORE you! Honestly... you two are the most genuine, adorable, absolutely hilarious individuals I've ever met. You are so perfectly suited to one another, it's hard to imagine there was ever a time when you were not together. I wish you both all the best as you navigate this life creating new adventures and sharing laughter all along the way.
All my love - Jennifer

Such beautiful sisters....

A tearful first meeting before the ceremony.

So you have to view these next two images while humming the "Hail to the Chief" song to really enjoy their full impact. Did Pravin really walk down the aisle to the President's song?? Oh yes he did.. and it was CLASSIC!

it's official.. MR & MRS

Ahhh.. so cool... and Jennifer's smile never quit!
