Today is a very special day....

Today is my INCREDIBLE, AMAZING, SUPER TALENTED, SUPER HOT husband's birthday! Happy Birthday Aaron!!! I know I've said it before and I'm so glad I'm continuing to saying each and every day - how very lucky I am to have him in my life. He is most definitely the reason I am where I am today with my business. If it were not for his constant pushing and support I would probably still be just shooting photographs for fun. When my network crashes... he's the one behind that scenes that brings it all back to life. I couldn't do all that I do without him! On top of working for the University Aaron also has a band that he plays with every weekend. I recently had the pleasure of taking some new promotional shots for them. If you haven't heard of Aaron Williams & the Hoodoo check them out. Or just stop by their myspace page to send him a birthday wish... just don't tell him who sent you:)

Go Brewers!!

Buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks...... Sunday at the ballpark. What better way to spend a summer day?!?! My sister and her husband came up from Chicago this past weekend to join us at Miller Park. I can't even remember the last time my whole family was together for a Brewer game... had to be the era of Moliter & Yount. We had so much fun. The game was great and even though Bonds didn't play my brother still let him know what was on his mind:) We even did some tailgating.. too much fun. Certainly makes it hard to go back to work!

Jennifer

Okay.. so I know I just posted the other day about how great it is when I get seniors who come in with a blank slate for me to get completely creative with... but now I have to tell you about the opposite side. Jennifer is a senior who is very involved in FFA and animals of all shapes and sizes. She knew right away when we scheduled her appointment that we were definitely going to take pictures with her horse Missy. Being invited right in to her families home gives me a whole new environment with which to work with. From the farm fields all around to the empty horse stables... this senior session was so much fun. Here are just a few of my favorites.

Laura & Kevin

I once heard a quote that really stuck with me.... "Music is what feelings sound like." I don't think I could explain Laura & Kevin's wedding any more clearly then this. Their wedding was filled with beautiful emotions and the most amazing music I have ever heard. These two certainly have friends in high places... they had close to the entire church choir taking part in the ceremony music and it was absolutely glorious. Truly some of the most incredible music I have ever heard at a wedding ceremony. Following the ceremony we headed off to Olbrich Gardens for some wedding party photos. Unfortunately due to the tight restrictions of the gardens photography permits we missed our window and were not even allowed inside! Laura and Kevin were so calm and collected and simply allowed the day to flow where it would. Luckily the weather was gorgeous so gardens or not... we still managed to get some great shots. Here's a little sneak peek of the happy couple.

Eric & Sam

This past week was all about the boys. It's been my experience that the senior men have spent a lot less time thinking about their senior portraits then the ladies... and I'm not at all complaining. Their flexibility and relaxed attitude is so much fun to work with. They give me all this freedom to try anything I want. Eric & Sam were both a pleasure to work with. So relaxed and so confident! I know I didn't have nearly the confidence level these too have when I was a senior in high school.

Ericka & Kurt Lucky 7-7-7

Luck was most definitely on the side of all the 7-7-07 brides as the weather couldn't have been much better. It was certainly a warm one though on the hilltop at Tyrol Basin where both the wedding and ceremony took place. The single cloud cover of the day came just as the ceremony began and brought with it cheers and clapping from the wedding guests! How could I complain about the temperature though when we had a setting such as this to enjoy. The view was breathtaking. Ericka and Kurt are such an incredibly warm and welcoming pair. By the time Karen and I left the reception we honestly felt like we were practically a member of the family. When Grandpa tells you he loves you I suppose their's no question you have been whole heartedly welcomed! From the incredible location and views to the show stopping toast by the best "men" this wedding was a blast to photograph. Of course it also doesn't hurt that these two couldn't possibly take a bad photograph. Congratulations Ericka & Kurt, thanks again for allowing Karen and I to be a part of your incredible day.

Kelly & Chris

I am back.. and rested and tan and BUSY! So sorry for my bloggers anxiously awaiting their sneak peek. Last Friday I was back at work again for Kelly & Chris' garden wedding. What an incredible day. The weather was picture perfect and so was this couple. Upon my first meeting with Kelly I knew right away that she was a planner... very organized, she even has two calendars for appointments! (Sorry, private joke that I just can't embarrass Kelly by sharing:) She's also very much into the details and stressed that they would be an important part of her wedding day photographs. So with that in mind here are a few details from their beautiful day. Congratulations, I hope you had a wonderful honeymoon!

Pop Rocks, Fun Dip... this was one of the coolest kids tables I have ever seen.

I'd like to introduce you to Camryn... my assistant for the day. I think he had a little crush on me:) Sorry Kelly & Chris, I'm sure you are going to have a lot more photos of me then you'll ever need!
