5 Years!

This past weekend I had the privilege to photograph not one but two anniversary parties in one day. One was a 50th wedding anniversary and the other a 40th anniversary. Compared to those numbers 5 seems pretty minor.... however it's my 5 - so minor or not I'm delighted by the number. Today marks my 5 year wedding anniversary to my incredible husband Aaron. To say that I love this man is a terrible understatement. He is by better half and my very best friend. I feel so truly blessed to have had him in my life these past five plus years. It was six years ago now that he asked me to marry him on the beach in Mexico, so it seems rather fitting that we are heading back for our anniversary. I will be returning home July 5th. I apologize for any inconvenience but will be responding to all email/phone calls at that time.

Genella & Eric

There are some first meetings you walk out of with this feeling like you just clicked. That's how it was for me on my very first meeting with Genella and her sister. They were both so spunky and excited about planning this wedding that their enthusiasm was completely contagious. Unfortunately with Genella planning her wedding from Arizona I assumed this would be one of those rare weddings where I wouldn't even meet the groom until the wedding day... so I was pleasantly surprised when Genella told me she would be in town for a few days this past weekend. Not at all surprising... Eric is just as wonderful as she is, a perfect balance. I am so looking forward to their Overture wedding this September.

Jolynn

Okay... so I'm sure even those of you who don't know me personally can already tell from one look at my website that I love the color teal. LOVE it. So when Jolynn turned up for her senior session with her prom dress in hand my heart did a little pitter-patter. You definitely rocked my Wednesday Jolynn! I hope you enjoy this sampling from our session. Don't worry.... I did find some non-teal options as well in your proofs:)

Megan & Aaron

I met Megan & Aaron bright and early Monday to do their engagement photos. Of course at the time I didn't realize that Megan had just the night before concluded her dance season with the annual recital. Megan owns her very own dance studio in the Monroe area. Needless to say they were both a bit exhausted... but such troopers. Maybe it was the lack of sleep but these two were adorably giddy and so much fun. Can't wait for the wedding!

Megan & Mark

Congratulations Megan & Mark. What an incredible day! M&M (as they are affectionately referred to) are such a relaxed, fun loving couple. Of course the fact that they are so wonderful comes as no surprise once you've had a chance to meet their families. Truly a great group of people surrounding this couple. Happy Father's Day!

Well the surprise has been revealed so I can finally share these photos with you. This is one of those incredibly fun photo shoots I said I've been busy with. Are these guys not the cutest beach bums you have ever seen!?!? I had so much fun doing this session. It was really hard to choose only six images for the composite though when there were so many fun shots to pick from. It certainly helps when your subjects are more then willing to ham it up for you! I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day.

Senior Session with Amber

So I am seriously falling behind on updating my blog.... it's just that I have had so many fun sessions booked lately! Case in point Ms. Amber. We had our session together last week for her senior portraits. It was a terribly humid day but she was such a trooper and never complained. There are just so many proofs that I am lovin as I edit her photos.. but I narrowed it down to a few of my favorites to share with you here. Check out this gorgeous gal... (watch out Ginny, your daughter is definitely going to turn some heads in college!)

Cody

This week marked the official start for summer for most of the schools in the area and the official start to my senior season. Although June is nearly booked solid there are still dates available for July and August. If your interested in booking a senior session I would advise doing it soon to get the day/time that works best for you. Below are some images from my session with the very handsome Cody.

For the couple who met at the Union and had their first date on board a sailboat... the weather couldn't have been any better. What a beautiful day and what a sweet couple. Jaime & Chris I hope you found time to take a sail in Hawaii. Enjoy your honeymoon!!

Carrie & Matt

This past weekend I had the honor of photographing Carrie & Matt's wedding. Carrie is the younger sister of my very best friend from high school Kelli. It is always such a priviledge to be included in these family celebrations. Carrie and Matt were so much fun and of course it doesn't hurt that they are both gorgeous. Saturday started out with some rain showers but the weather never once seemed to rain on their parade... and by the afternoon the sky was just beautiful. Wedding Planner & Guide Bridal Show

Stop by and visit me this Thursday June 7th at the Summer Session of the Wedding Planner & Guide Bridal Show. The show is set to take place from 4:00 - 9:00 at the Marriott Madison West.
