Sara & Patrick

Not a bad way to spend a Friday afternoon... hanging out with these two love birds on a beautiful summer day. The flowers amazing! The colors amazing! Lake Windsor... always amazing! And Sara and Patrick so excited for their wedding day to have finally arrived. Courtney, Matt and I were so honored to have been a part of it all. Much love you two!

All you have to do is look at the photos to see what an incredible planner Sara was... the wedding colors were highlighted in every element down to her shoes and signature wedding drinks!

Sara you are gorgeous!!

The sky was such a beautiful blue that day....

Favorite!

What was the most memorable part of your day?

Sara - The vows, when the pastor pronounced us husband and wife, all of our wedding party laughing and having fun on the party bus - taking jell-o shots from syringes (a nod to my nursing career!), our first dance, our last dance (everyone hugged us and we danced as a whole group).

Pat - The whole wedding was memorable.

What is your funniest memory from your wedding day?

Sara - I forgot my bra in our car, which was at the hotel, and Pat's uncle had to bring it to me! Also, when we went to practice our first dance outside, we looked up and all of the kids were looking out the windows clapping and giving us the thumbs up.

Pat - Vitali, my friend and one of the ushers in the wedding party, was trying to dance and get a date with one of Sara's nursing friends - he didn't realize she was married.

Any advice you'd share for future couples getting married?

Sara - About planning the wedding itself - yes it is stressful, but totally worth it in the end. Know what you like and don't be afraid to speak up about it to get what you want. Great vendors are the key to a worry free day!! Then if something does go wrong, try not to sweat it. I was anxious when it happened, but now it's kind of funny that I forgot my bra in the car, because it is totally characteristic of me.

Would you change anything about your day if you could?

Sara - No, I loved it just the way it was. Even the little hitches just gave it more personality and defined it as our day. Nothing big went wrong and overall the day went very smoothly.
Pat - No.

First Dance- "I Wouldn't Change a Thing" by Matthew West
Father/Daughter Dance- "A Song for My Daughter" by Ray Allaire

Tina & Alex

Tina & Alex will go down in the books as having one of the nicest wedding parties I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Seriously they were so sweet and agreeable even in the ridiculous heat we endured. Many thanks to Tina & Alex for allowing us to be a part of their wedding day. It was just a gorgeous, memorable day.... we wish you both nothing but the very best!

I just love the way they love each other... so genuine in every thing they do and say to one another.

Sarah and Todd - Married!

So incredibly honored to have been a part of Sarah & Todd's wedding day. It was an intimate very moving ceremony with hardly a dry eye in the house. You just can't beat a tight knit group that truly cares for one another when it comes to celebrating such an important day.

Just after their first kiss... ah, love the way they love each other!

Sarah you are sooo cute!

Favorite.. just love the sweet sentiment you can see in their snuggle.

What was the most memorable part of your day?

Sarah -  Having such an intimate group of people, we chose to do a family dinner without having a dance reception. My sister however didn’t want us to have a wedding without a first dance. Her MOH speech was a moving collection of song lyrics that she felt described Todd, me, and our lives together. She also chose Nora Jones’ Love Me Tender to be our first dance and cleared a small area near our table at Liliana’s so we could have that special moment with each other.

Todd - Seeing Sarah walk down the aisle and seeing friends and family all come together to celebrate our day. That was very cool.

What was your funniest memory from your wedding day?

Though not really a funny, ha-ha moment, a FUN moment was sneaking onto the property of Sarah's parent's neighbors to get some GREAT pictures with our amazing photographer in front of their barn :)

Any advice you'd share for future couples getting married?

Keeping our celebration small and intimate was a great choice. We were able to have a dinner that truly felt like a family celebration and planning for a group of 26 made planning the wedding in just under 3 months (and on a holiday weekend, no less!) possible.
Take a deep breath and enjoy the day.. A wise friend once said to me, “When the day is over, and something wasn’t done right, or was missed, it really doesn’t matter because you’re still married to your best friend”.  Great advice!

Would you change anything about your day if you could?

Nope!

Where did you go for your honeymoon?

We spent many months planning a trip to Italy and took the trip over Spring Break this past March.

How did you two meet?

Sarah is the Athletic Trainer at Fort Atkinson High School and Todd was a football coach at the same school the year we met.  We worked with each other in that capacity, but didn’t start dating until about 6 months after we met.

How long have you been dating?

We started dating on New Year’s Eve, 2008; almost 4 years.  Our first date was actually to the Wartburg vs. UW-Whitewater football playoff game (Sarah’s brother was a coach at Wartburg) and Todd got to meet the ENTIRE family (aunts and uncles included!).  Sarah knew he was a keeper once he was able to put up with that hullabaloo on date #1 :)

5 words to describe your bride: happy, detail oriented, funny, caring, compassionate.

5 words to describe your groom: loving, affectionate, family-driven, supportive, driven.

Who were your vendors?
Florist - Olson’s Floral
Cake Baker - Jessica Mirek (Friend of the couple)
Music/String Quartet - Led by Katie Koza
Reception Site - Liliana’s
Ceremony Site - Springdale Lutheran Church, Mount Horeb

Any great vendor experiences to share?
ALL were truly wonderful, helping us to throw together such a beautiful day in less than 3 months. Those that really stood out:
Our quartet included our pastor’s daughter and they did a phenomenal job. No one could believe that this group of talented musicians was high school students. We couldn’t have been happier with the music we chose.
Our choice of Liliana’s for our reception dinner was possibly the best decision we made with regards to our wedding celebration. Dave, the owner and head chef is an amazing man who went out of his way (as well as his staff) to make sure our day was special. The food was second to none and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. We both would HIGHLY recommend Liliana’s to anyone for their special occasion or just a great date-night out!

Emily & Matt - Married!

When Emily first starting telling me about the details of her day I knew I would be in heaven. I mean really Tiffany blue?!? If you don't know how much I love this color then you've obviously never been to our studio. But beyond the details of their beautiful day this wedding was a joy simply because of Emily & Matt. These two care about each other sooo much! And it was obvious in every stolen glance and quick kiss. Emily & Matt thank you again for allowing Courtney and I to be a part of your day.. it was such an honor.

Love how excited Emily looks here.

Emily had the details planned out perfectly all the way down to her shoes.

Preparing for her big debut...

Some very handsome and executive-looking men!

Check out this view! I had never been to Milford Hill before and after this visit... I can't wait to go back!

Emily's niece, Ivy, stealing the show. How cute is she?!

Beautiful bridal party!

Isn't Emily stunning?! Look at those eyes!

They were this sweet and cuddly all day!

Themes of the wedding carried throughout the day. LOVE these colors!

What was the most memorable part of your day?
Our first kiss as a married couple at the end of the aisle and at the head table during our reception, rather than at the altar. We wrote our own wedding ceremony and didn’t include our first kiss as the final piece of our ceremony. We are not sure if we forgot or it just seemed obvious at the time we put together the outline. At the end of our ceremony, our pastor completely forgot to have us kiss…after having a hard time reading his notes because of the wind and bright sun; we understood why he was flustered and forgot about the kiss. Our Best Man was able to use our “goof up” in his speech/toast, by having us stand up and kiss in front of our guests.
What is your funniest memory from your wedding day?
Emily: The entertainment of my two year old “flower girl” niece, Ivy during the ceremony. There was a frog croaking in the bushes right behind where the bridesmaids were standing. Every time it croaked, Ivy turned her back to everyone and said, “Where is it?” as she looked for the frog. I couldn’t help but giggle. Ivy seemed to enjoy our musicians’ performance of The Wedding Song. When they finished the song, she yelled out, “Take a bow.”
Matt: When we were watching parts of our ceremony on our slide show, later that evening. There were a couple of clips of Matt from the ceremony, where it showed him licking his lips. Matt states his lip licking was from having a dry mouth from the warm weather, Emily thinks he was nervous. Either way, it made many of our guests laugh.
Any advice you’d share for future couples getting married?
Enjoy every minute of the day, it goes by too quick. Don’t sweat the small stuff, but try to take in the small details of the day.

Would you change anything about your day if you could?
We wish we could have spent more time with each and every guest.
