Sara & Nick

When you first depart for college, many people will ask themselves “What do I want to do with my life?” That's a terrifying question for many. To answer not only "what do I want to do with my life?" but also "Who do I want to spend the rest of my life with?" all in the course of a few semesters..... well lets just say that Sara & Nick are what you might consider over achievers.

Sara and Nick met while both were attending school for physical therapy. An evening out at a martini bar, drinking and talking and a friendly meeting soon became something much, much more. After that first night, Sara stayed up late with her roommate to share all the details. One detail in particular stood out.... that Nick was “a keeper.” A few dates later and it was Nick who was expressing that same sentiment to his roommate Katy. Seems Nick already knew that Sara was “the one.” Sometimes it takes semester after semester to declare a major. And sometimes it takes years and years for a love to develop but from the start these two knew they were meant to be together. Like I said... over achievers.

Friday morning as I checked the weather forecast for Sara & Nick's outdoor wedding I was disheartened to see rain clouds displayed for every hour of the day. I packed up my umbrellas and threw on a warm top prepared to battle the showers for some amazing photos. Imagine my surprise when I arrived at Olin Park to see the clouds had parted and the ceremony site was being prepped to move outdoors. The sun shone bright that afternoon and warmed all in attendance as Sara & Nick pledged their love to one another. Rain showers? I don't think so... not for these two over achievers. Sara & Nick, it was such a delight spending the day with you and your families. I hope that as your years together continue to multiple you find yourselves constantly "over achieving" in all that you strive to do. Congratulations again!

Sara was unbelievably relaxed as she got ready with her mom.. no nerves here.

Call me crazy but I think she was excited about her dress!

Moving the ceremony outdoors. I must say there was a wise photographer in attendance that day who suggested driving the chairs from one location to the next. Yes, yes... Sara & Nick were not the only over achievers in attendance that day. :)
