Christa & Jim

Christa and Jim are a long married very much in love couple.... at least that was my first impression when I met them. There is just an amazing amount of comfort and peacefulness between these two. Nerves?? On their wedding day??? Not a chance. It's as if they have been together forever.... nothing could have been more natural then Christa & Jim getting married. Even motherhood seems to have come naturally to Christa. As Christa begins her life as a wife to Jim she also has stepped into the role of 'mom' to Nicole. My favorite moment of the day came just after Christa & Jim were announced as husband and wife and lead the recessional out of the church. Hugs and smiles erupted but as I turned to the back of the church I found little Nicole in tears.. overcome with emotion. Christa pulled her in and whispered sweet words of support... "I know, I know.. it's such a happy day isn't it?" Mother, wife, husband, daughter... these roles were clearly written for Christa, Jim & Nicole. Congratulations to all of you on your newly formed family. Karen and I were honored to be a part of your incredible day!

Theresa & Daniel

Theresa & Daniel... what a blast this wedding was! Karen and I couldn't stop chattering the whole drive home. There was just something in the air at this party that grabbed a hold of you and made you smile from ear to ear. The colors of the flowers, the crazy - fun play on a traditional wedding cake, the root beer on tap.... yup you heard me right. I LOVE me some Sprechers! This really just was a great party. And when your looking for a reason to celebrate I don't know if you could find a better reason then to celebrate the love between Theresa & Daniel. These two are so warm and sweet... it's impossible not to love them. When you put the two together the love they have for each other is just infectious. Being around them just made me love being in LOVE... I know cheesy, but if you know these two, then you know exactly what I mean.

Vielen vielen Dank Theresa und Daniel für alles. Ich wünsche Ihnen jedes Glück. - Jennifer

a great weekend....

The second weekend in July. A great weekend. Probably one my favorites of the entire year... right after Christmas and my birthday of course. It's the weekend of Art Fair on the Square.

I have a bit of an obsession with the Art Fair. I LOVE it. I mean I reallly love it! I'll spend hours each year drinking it all in. I love the colors, the crowded streets, the creativity and inspiration that's found in ever booth. It's a sensory overload. I never miss it. Every year, like clockwork you'll find me at the art fair. When my schedule allows I'm there Saturday and Sunday. Saturday just to browse and Sunday to buy. It's an obsession I tell you! This year I'll be shooting the fabulous wedding of Michelle & Mike so I won't be able to make it Saturday.... but you could bet money on my whereabouts for Sunday. And as if my excitement for the Art Fair weren't enough already I've got a bonus this year.... my husbands band will be playing at the Art Fair! So not only will I be able to spend my day off at the best event of the year... I'll also have some great music to 'shop' by. If you happen to make it to the fair be sure to stop by and say hi! Aaron's band (Aaron Williams and the Hoodoo) will be playing from 11:30-12:30 on the Martin Luther King Boulevard stage. Guaranteed to be a great day!

Mandy & Joe

A high school crush... a longing gaze across a crowded classroom at the object of your affection. Rumor has it Joe had a little 'thing' for Mandy back in high school. Now everyone knows high school can be more then a little awkward! Unfortunately for Joe, Mandy never noticed those intense brown eyes calling her out in the middle of English class. It wasn't until a few years later when their paths crossed again that Mandy saw Joe as something more then a former classmate. With age comes confidence and there was a new swagger in Joe's step.... Mandy swooned like a teenage girl. :)

As most of you already know I'm all about the high school sweetheart stories... so right away I knew this wedding was going to be great. When I arrived at the church I was greeted with hugs from mom and a gift from Mandy.... so I obviously underestimated how GREAT this wedding was going to be! Karen and I felt like guests at a party. It was wonderful. Thanks again Mandy & Joe for all the love... we hope you had an incredible time on your honeymoon.

Due to some flooding Mandy & the girls prepared in one of the churches classrooms... so we had a little fun with the ring shot :)

Mandy & Joe had more then their fair share of 'issues' the day of the wedding.. beginning with a limo driver who lacked directional skills and raining weather. Through it all though they were nothing but smiles... Love this one - Favorite!

Mandy & Joe worked it out!! We got a few additional photos at the reception site since we were rained out at the gardens.

One more just for fun.... remember the umbrella picture above? Yeah.. it rained that day.. so no comments about my flat, rain drenched 'hairdo'!!

Diane & Rusty

It's been said time and time again, Keep it Simple. Wise words. In Diane & Rusty's case these are even words to live by. You could even say it was the theme to their entire wedding. With a light breeze in the air and beautiful blue skies overhead Diane & Rusty exchanged their wedding vows in a simple, intimate backyard ceremony. Surrounded by their closest family members Diane & Rusty pledged forever.

Diane & Rusty I'm so glad Mike and I were able to join you for your wedding. The simplicity of your day really was a wonderful testament to the most important part of any wedding day... your marriage. Congratulations again. May the two of you enjoy forever making beautiful music together.

Cara & Nicholas

When love hits you sometimes you just know.... her curves, her amazing clarity, the way everyone turned to her in a room. Nick just knew the first time he saw her that this was it. There was definitely something about her, those 36 inches were a perfect fit for Nick's life! It didn't matter that she was a Sony and not a Toshiba... Nick was smitten.

Nick and Cara's first meeting was unlike any other... in fact, Nick actually met Cara's television before he ever laid eyes on his future bride. I'm telling you those HDTV's are really something special;) Nick was good friends with Cara's sister Cassie. So when Cara moved back to Wisconsin to attend the University Nick was one of the first volunteer mover's Cassie called. Attending the University together Cara & Cassie's circle of friends quickly found themselves overlapping. It wasn't long before a friendship turned to romance... and the rest, as they say is history.

Cara & Nick thank you so much for allowing Karen & I to be a part of your day. Much love - Jennifer
